Abstract
The Cu atom in the title compound, [Cu-2(C4H4O4)(NO3)(2)(C12H8N2)(2)(H2O)(2 )], adopts an octahedral geometry that is distorted tetragonally, as seen i n the copper-water [Cu-O 2.657 (4) Angstrom] and copper-nitrate [Cu-O 2.525 (4) Angstrom] bonds. The water molecule bridges adjacent molecules into a linear chain, and neighboring chains are linked by hydrogen bonds into a la yer structure.
