Abstract
I discuss recent theoretical work about AA collisions at RHIC energies, lar gely from our group at BNL and the group at the RIKEN-BNL Center. Most of t he discussion is about the impact of the Color Glass Condensate on the prod uction and evolution of matter in heavy ion collisions.
