Abstract
Excitable behaviour occurs in premixed gas combustion. Single and mult iple target patterns, rotating spiral waves and spatially disordered a nd temporally chaotic patterns, reminiscent of chemical turbulence, ha ve been observed experimentally on freely propagating and burner-stabi lized premixed gas flames.
