H. Radecka et J. Radecki, Application of liposomes together with thin layer potentiometry for detection of odorant compounds interaction with lipid layer, ANAL LETTER, 34(12), 2001, pp. 2005-2018
Herein we present a study on the application of a thin-layer potentiometry
for detection of an interaction of odorants with liposome lipid layer. Thre
e different kinds of liposomes: neutral (phosphatidylcholine + cholesterol)
, negatively charged (with dicetylphosphate) and positively charged (with s
terylamine), were applied for study of the influence of charge on the inter
action with odorants. The relative marker ion tetrabutylammonium (TBA(+)) r
elease from the interior of liposomes upon stimulation by odorants was used
as a measure of their interaction with the lipid layer.
