A patient with necrobiotic xanthogranuloma is presented to highlight the cl
inicopathological features of this rare condition which must be differentia
ted from atypical necrobiosis lipoidica. The patient is unusual in that he
has two associated monoclonal paraproteins and did not have periorbital inv
olvement at presentation.
