In this paper, a numerical method for the simulation of two-phase multi-dim
ensional transient flows is presented. It is based on a finite volume expli
cit scheme, and the recent density perturbation method. The computation of
the upwinding is easy and we are able to handle high kinematic and thermal
disequilibria in complex geometries for minor requirements. Numerical tests
are provided showing the efficiency of our approach. (C) 2001 Elsevier Sci
