Lymphocyte development from hematopoietic stem cells

The recent application of new techniques, such as multi-color cell sorting and the production of transgenic and gene-knockout mice, has contributed to a better understanding of lymphocyte development from hematopoietic stem c ells. New that we can purify progenitors at different maturational stages d uring lymphocyte development, the challenge is to understand the processes that govern each developmental stage transition.
