Abstract
A simple method for the characterisation of radiated fields is presented th at is based on the application of the spherical wave expansion. The spheric al wave coefficients are solved ia a new manner by using an iterative matri x (IM) method. The method can be used to decrease the number of field sampl es required to characterise the radiated field compared to the conventional matrix method. The performance of the IM method is illustrated with simula ted field measurements for mobile phones.
