Abstract
The factors that influence the filling of powders into hard capsules are re viewed. Powder properties that affect machine performance and influence plu g formation are highlighted. The use of instrumented machines and machine s imulators in formulation development are described. The properties of excip ients that are required for uniform filling are identified.
