Drug trafficking and consumption in China: two case studies

This article discusses the results of a study on drug trafficking and consu mption in China, which has increased substantially in recent years. The res earch has been conducted from existing documentation at a national level an d, at a local level, from field surveys in two towns: Guangzhou and Shenzhe n in the Guangdong Province. It analyses the geographic, economic, and soci ological aspects of the phenomenon.
