This work investigates inverse boundary design for radiation, convection an
d conduction combined-mode heat transfer The problem consists of finding th
e heat flux distribution on a heater that satisfies both the temperature an
d the heat flux prescribed on a design surface of an enclosure formed by tw
o finite parallel plates. A gray participating medium flows in laminar regi
me between the walls, which tire gray. tl diffuse emitters and absorbers. A
ll the thermal properties are uniform. This problem is described by till il
l-conditioned system of non-linear equations. The solution is obtained by r
egularizing the system of equations by means of truncated singular value de
composition (TSVD).
