Intraoperative magnetic resonance image guidance in neurosurgery

Recently, there has been a burgeoning interest in the use of image-guided n avigation to improve the safety and effectiveness of neurosurgical procedur es. The intraoperative use of magnetic resonance imaging MW provides the mo st accurate guidance available. This report discusses the hardware and soft ware improvements that have made intraoperative AM a reality and describes the use of this technology for neurosurgical intraoperative guidance. J. Ma gn.
