Abstract
Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)-Ag2S nanocomposites were successfully prepared t hrough in-situ reaction with CS2 as the sulfur source in ethanol solution a t room temperature. Transmission electron microscopic (TEM) analysis of the nanocomposites revealed a raspberry morphology of the inorganic component with an average particle size of about 8-10 nm and a narrow dispersion. IR and UV-Vis spectroscopies were used to investigate the reaction process and the formation of coordination compounds.
