Abstract
The nature of the capping agent on the surface of CdSe quantum dots has bee n investigated using P-edge EXAFS spectroscopy. Two samples prepared by dif ferent synthetic routes were compared and the results show similar capping in which tri-n-octylphosphine oxide and tri-n-octylphosphine selenide are b ound to the surface of the dots.
