For the oil industry to realize fully the high reliability of intelligent-w ell technologies, operators will have to adopt and develop new skills for s etting reliability expectations, communicating these expectations to suppli ers, incorporating reliability specifications into contracts, and working w ith suppliers to ensure compliance.
