Abstract
A project started in 1997 developed an intelligent completion system capabl e of measuring downhole multiphase flow rates, pressure and temperature con ditions at two or more points along the well, and controlling fluid entry i nto the well by downhole flow-control devices. The flow-control system depl oyed in Wytch Farm Well F-22 in August 2000 was the first to be fully elect rical.
