Abstract
A local hydrogen-like upper bound for the spherically averaged electron mom entum density is studied within the Hartree-Fock framework for 103 neutral atoms, 54 singly charged atomic cations and 43 anions in their ground state . The maximum value of the electron momentum density is bounded analyticall y by means of some global properties of the system.
