This paper reports on the kinetics of diffusion-controlled processes: oxida
tion of tert-butyl radicals by molecular oxygen, phenanthrene phosphorescen
ce quenching by molecular oxygen, and fluorescence ignition of the anthrace
ne-oxygen geminal pair in an n-butanol-water frozen solution. An anomalous
drop of oxygen diffusivity for water contents higher than 2.5-3 v/o has bee
n found This effect is associated with the microheterogeneous structure of
the solution.
