Abstract
The results obtained for dissolved and particulate Cd, Cu, Fe and Ni, in presence and in absence of pack ice, sampled from Wood Bay (Antarct ica) in the 1993/94 campaign, are reported. A brat hypothesis regardin g metal distribution related to ice melting phenomena has been develop ed. This preliminary model has to be confirmed by the next expeditions data, that will be focused on the pack melting process and will be co mpleted by nutrient data.
