L. Sereda et al., Rice husk ash in polysiloxane compounds - Physico-mechanical, processability and morphological aspects, KAUT GUM KU, 54(9), 2001, pp. 474-476
Rice husk ash (RHA) is an agricultural residue abundant in many countries.
However, the number of applications involving this residue is not high enou
gh to deplete the amounts generated. Thus, in this work, RHA was used in po
lysiloxane compounds, in order to investigate its potential as filler. The
results show that, depending on the content of RHA in the formulation, apar
t from superior processability one can achieve comparable values of some me
chanical properties.
