Innovations in extrusion - Further developments in die technology and in measuring systems

It is difficult for new process technologies to become established in extru sion technology. A number of the reasons for this are the high line costs, the low number of new lines being installed, the risk of a new technology n ot giving the desired results after all and the high costs of the tests req uired on production line. Despite this, new ideas and solutions are repeate dly emerging which are aimed at both reducing the production costs of extru ded products and improving product quality.
