Abstract
We propose a method to improve lattice operators composed of Wilson fermion s which allows the removal of all corrections of O(a), including those prop ortional to the quark mass. It requires off-shell improvement of quark fiel ds and composite operators, which is achieved by studying the behaviour of quark and gluon correlation functions at large momenta.
