Abstract
The polarization transfer coefficient K-y(y') has been measured for the H-2
(d,p)H-3 reaction at a scattering angle of 0 degrees at very low energies (
less than or equal to 90 keV). The polarization of the emitted protons from
the reaction was measured with a proton polarimeter using p- Si-28 elastic
scattering. A value of 0.09 +/- 0.10 was obtained for K-y(y'). This value
was compared with the value for K-y(y') that we have calculated from the tr
ansition amplitudes determined by Lemaitre and Schieck for the H-2(d,p)H-3
reaction [Ann. Physik, 2, 503 (1993)].
