Abstract
Because of the reduction in the turbulent kinetic energy decay rates rotati ng turbulence presents a significant challenge for turbulence models develo ped for nonrotating cases. We show that the modeling difficulties are remov ed if the generalized similarity methods are implemented on an expanded mes h. (C) 2001 American Institute of Physics.
