Current situation of AIDS in Latin America. Analysis of differences between countries

Tbe aim of this article is to analyze the current situation of AIDS in Lati n American countries. Specifically, to compare their situation with other g eographic areas of the planet, the prevalence index per countries, distribu tion per sex and age and, finally, the main ways of transmission in each co untry. The most recent data published by OMS and demographic data obtained from tbe Latin American and Caribean Demographic Ce;lt(,), (CELADL) was use d, This analysis reflects that in Latin America it is impossible to talk ab out,,UDS in a homogeneous way since tbe differences between countries are r emarkable.
