Abstract
There is presented a way of fast diminishing of free formaldehyde cont ent in diluted aqueous solution by its saccharification to so-called f ormosa and multihydroxymethylacetones obtained from acetone and formal dehyde in presence of calcium hydroxide as catalyst.
