Abstract
A complex hydrogen bonded network is formed between a mono-deprotonated bis -amidinium calix[4]arene 1 and difluorophosphinate in the presence of metha nol. The compound crystallises in the triclinic space group P (1) over bar with a =12.0665(5), b = 12.5737(6), c = 20.0201(15) Angstrom, alpha = 86.40 98(18), beta = 79.747(2), gamma = 66.816(4)degrees, and D-c =1.159 Mgm(-3) for Z = 4.7824 independent reflections were collected and the final R1 [F-2 >2 alpha (F-2)] was 0.1243.
