Abstract
The synthesis, silane functionalization, and facile silica attachment of de ndritic monomers containing terminal benzyl groups are presented. For the f irst time, a simple one-step procedure is described that leads to the in si tu creation of a surface-bonded sol-gel dendritic stationary phase on the i nner walls of a fused silica capillary; such phases showed unique selectivi ties in high-resolution capillary gas chromatography.
