Abstract
It has been postulated that phospholipases of fungal origin can affect in v itro susceptibility testing of amphotericin B lipid complex (ABLC). We used specific phospholipase-deficient mutants of Candida albicans and Cryptococ cus neoformans in susceptibility testing and demonstrated that extracellula r fungal phospholipase activity does not influence the in vitro susceptibil ities of these two fungi to ABLC.
