Abstract
Most extramedullary plasmacytomas are associated with the upper respiratory tract. Primary pulmonary plasmacytomas are rare, and the treatment is surg ical excision. This malignancy advances to multiple myeloma in a minority o f patients. The patient in our case report is the first to experience renal failure due to hematologic monoclonal gammopathy. Postoperatively, serum p rotein electrophoresis reverted to normal.
