Abstract
Estrellichnus jacaensis igen nov., isp. nov. is a large radial trace fossil preserved as hypichnial semi-reliefs. It occurs in Eocene flysch deposits (depositional lobe facies) of the Hecho Group, north of Jaca in northern Sp ain. It is interpreted as a subsurface burrow composed of a central shaft a nd radiating tubular tunnels, produced by an unknown tracemaker. Estrellich nus jacaensis is similar to some extent to Capodistria vettersi VIALOV. (C) 2001 Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier SAS.
