Systemic mast cell disease associated with B-chronic lymphocytic leukemia

Patients with systemic mastocytosis (SM) are at a high risk of developing l ife-threatening myeloid malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia, chroni c myeloid leukemia or myelomonocytic leukemia. Lymphoproliferative disorder s may also occur, although more rarely. We report a case of a patient with SM who developed chronic lymphocytic leukemia ten years after the diagnosis of his original disease. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of this association.
