Excited states of Sr-88 have been produced in the fusion evaporation reacti
on between Se-82 beam and O-16 from a heavily oxidized Ba target and studie
d using the in-beam gamma spectroscopy techniques. Two high-spin level stru
ctures have been observed and established up to 8.5 MeV and 7.9MeV excitati
on energy with spin values of 13 (h) over bar and 12 (h) over bar, respecti
vely. Based on the measurements of the DCO ratios and anisotropies of gamma
-rays, spin values of the excited states have been assigned up to the high
est levels observed. Possible configurations are discussed for the two high
spin level structures.
