Abstract
A method of nonlinear wavelet transform image compression coding based on s pherical coordinate transform was introduced according to the correlation a mong the high-frequency sub-bands from wavelet transform. In wavelet shrink age,the radial part in spherical coordinate was processed by hyperbolic shr inkage. The result of experiment proves a better achievable result on its r ate and the quality of the reconstructed image.
