Abstract
Low temperature (10 K) spectra of amorphous a-C:N:H layers are reported for the first time. The spectra reveal remarkable temperature effects dependen t on the method of obtaining the material. The source of the observed effec ts is found to be the presence of small amounts of oxygen in samples. The r ole of internal stress is indicated. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rig hts reserved.
