Abstract
In this paper, a matched load termination of a finite-length line is used t o represent an infinite feedline structure in FDTD simulations. A generator with an internal resistor-which is matched to the input port-is employed t o excite the feedline, with a View to achieving a low reflection at the tru ncation point. A patch antenna, whose feedline is truncated in this manner, is used as an example to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed techniq ue.
