Abstract
In this paper, we consider two basic problems in chaotic communications. Fi rst, we use stochastic calculus methods to analyze the performances of self -synchronizing chaotic communication systems. Then we apply ergodic theory techniques for the design of optimal spreading sequences for asynchronous D irect-Sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) communication system s.
