Abstract
This is a supplement to our recent paper (J. Reine Angew. Math. 508, 17-45, 1999) on extremal lengths of homology classes on Riemann surfaces of finit e genus. We are mainly concerned with compact Riemann surfaces, and give an alternative proof of one of the main theorems. Also, we give further consi derations to Riemann surfaces of genus one.
