Abstract
An overview on the applications of the Wittig and Horner-Wittig reactions t o the synthesis of vinylic sulfides, ketene dithioacetals, 1,3-dithioles, 1 ,4-benzodithiafulvenes, 1,4-benzodithiafulvenes, vinylic sulfoxides, vinyli c sulfones, vinylic selenides, ketene selenoacetals, vinylic tellurides, ke tene phenyltelluroacetals, ketene, dithioacetal mono-S-oxides, ketene (S, T e) acetals and chalcogeno allenes is presented.
