S. Yanagimachi et al., Ramsey-Borde atom interferometer having two arms with different Zeeman sublevels - art. no. 041601, PHYS REV A, 6404(4), 2001, pp. 1601
An atom interferometer, whose arms are in the different sublevels, was demo
nstrated using two sigma (+)- and two sigma (-)-polarized, copropagating, l
aser beams in a magnetic field. Using the interferometer, Ramsey fringes wi
th a width of 50 kHz were observed as a function of Zeeman shift frequency,
The visibility of the interference fringes of 0.046 was obtained at an exc
itation power of almost pi /2 pulse area.
