Abstract
Our interpretation of the magnetoresistance. and the differential conductan ce of multiwalled carbon nanotubes, based on the depleted density of states , was questioned by Schonenberger and Bachtold in their Comment. They have concluded that our data were rather in support of the diffusive motion of e lectrons, contradictory to our interpretation, In this Reply we argue again st this conclusion and discuss in detail why the weak localization scheme i s not likely to explain the magnetoresistance. of multiwalled carbon nanotu bes observed in our experiments.
