Abstract
The equations of fluid dynamics developed in Paper I[X. Chen, H. Rao, and E . A. Spiegel, Phys. Rev. E 64, 046308 (2001)] are applied to the study of t he propagation of ultrasound waves. There is good agreement between the pre dicted propagation speed and experimental results for a wide range of Knuds en numbers.
