A new type of two-dimensional lattice-Boltzmann model is developed in order
to study the rheological properties of magnetic fluids. The appropriate ex
tension of the lattice-Boltzmann scheme for magnetohydrodynamics makes it p
ossible to deal with the rotation of the magnetic moment without losing the
advantage of its simple algorithm. This model is suitable for simulating v
arious behaviors of magnetic fluids influenced by the internal angular mome
ntum.
