Abstract
The propagation of electromagnetic waves through a spherical multilayered s tack is numerically studied. We assume that layers in the stack have an ess ential frequency dispersion of the dielectric permittivity. Our calculation s show that in such a structure the electromagnetic field is almost complet ely confined to the layered spherical substrate. (C) 2001 Published by Else vier Science B.V.
