Abstract
This Letter deals with average drift of electrons, originating due to ioniz ation of gas at low pressures by strong microwave field of TE mode in a lon gitudinal static magnetic field. The electron drift close to the ECR is dem onstrated to increase considerably downstream microwave propagation. The ph enomenon may be used for rectifying of a microwave AC with its conversion i nto DC. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
