Abstract
The data of Mossbauer spectroscopic measurements in rapidly frozen aci dified Fe-57(III) nitrate solutions containing anthranilic acid are pr esented and discussed. The results obtained provide direct evidence th at, along with the formation of an iron(III) anthranilate complex, gra dual reduction of iron(III) by anthranilic acid occurs with the format ion of iron(II) species even in acidic nitrate media.
