This paper is devoted to the kinematic and sensitivity analyses of a n
ew designed toggle mechanisms which is the combination of two slider-c
rank mechanism. The analytic analysis is developed for obtaining the g
eneral equations of position, velocity, and acceleration for each link
. Three common types of motion including constant acceleration? simple
harmonic and cycloidal are considered as the inputs while the corresp
onding outputs between two toggle positions are studied. BS using geom
etric relationships and trigonometry, the various results of kinematic
and sensitivity analyses are presented and compared between the four-
point type and five-point type toggle mechanism.
