One-pot synthesis of cinnamylamines with various protecting groups from cinnamyl ethers

The reaction of various alkyl cinnamyl ethers with CSI afforded the corresp onding cinnamylamines with various protecting groups, such as -NHMoc, -NHiP oc, -NHCbz, NHPnz, -NHTroc and -NHAloc. In the case of cinnamyl t-butyl eth er and cinnamyl p-methoxybenzyl ether, the corresponding cinnamyl carbamate s were formed via a different reaction pathway from the above.
