Abstract
1(4'-azobenzylcellulose)-2-naphthol has been analyzed by thermal methods, u nder non-isothermal conditions, both before and after Cu(II), Co(II) and Ni (II) sorption. The kinetic and compensation parameters permitted to put int o evidence a complex mechanism of physical and chemical sorption, chemisorp tion being predominant for Ni(II) and Cu(II), with the highest weight in th e case of the lost element, while for Co(II), adsorption occurs preferentia lly.
