Abstract
The paper presents some results obtained by studying the hydrogen peroxide decomposition catalysed by heavy metals. Experiments were carried out in an alkaline medium at temperatures of 50 and 70 degrees, the initial starting hydrogen peroxide concentration being of 0.05 mol/L. The paper is aimed to specify the rate constants of the individual reactions and to study the ki netics of the reaction mechanisms, along with the verification of the mecha nisms proposed by the Gauss-Newton method interpreted in the Marquart versi on.
